Two dogs. One fence.
Zero standoffs.

A shared yard status for you and the neighbors โ€” so everybody gets a turn out back.

Your yard

Rex is in

You're good to go

Next door

Luna's out

back at 7:18 โ€” you'll get a ping

Set up in two minutes

Three steps, then never think about it again

1

Make a yard group

Name it, add your dog. No account, no password โ€” it rides on your iCloud.

2

Send one link

Your neighbors tap it and they're in. That's the whole invite.

3

Tap when you go out

Everyone sees the yard is taken. A timer frees it up on its own.

What you get

Small app. Surprising number of ways to tap it.

One-tap status

"Let Rex out," and the neighbors know instantly.

Auto-expiring timers

15, 30, 60 minutes or open-ended. The yard frees itself.

"Yard is clear" alerts

A ping the second it's your turn.

Widgets & Lock Screen

Clear or occupied, without opening the app.

Live Activity

A countdown in the Dynamic Island while your dog's out.

Apple Watch

Status and a let-out button on your wrist, plus a complication.

The good part

Stick a tag by the door.
Tap it on the way out.

Put one NFC sticker by the back door and another just inside. Tap your phone on the way out, tap the other on the way back โ€” the yard flips, the timer starts, your neighbors get the word.

YardTime never opens. Your phone doesn't even need to be unlocked. It's a one-time setup with Apple Shortcuts, and the app walks you through it step by step.

Any NTAG215 tag (a few dollars for a roll) ยท iPhone XS or later ยท Also works by voice โ€” "Hey Siri, let the dog out" โ€” or mapped to the Action Button.

Have a look

It's mostly one big button
